An EGA Marine Maintenance Membership is a monthly membership that allows members to enjoy periodic inspections and diagnostics, discounts on parts and labor, as well as priority service calls in the event of an unforeseen issue.

What the initial inspection covers
Fuel System
We thoroughly inspect the entire fuel system to ensure safe and reliable operation:
Inspect fuel sender and gaskets
Check hose clamps and connectors
Examine fuel hoses for cracks, wear, or corrosion
Replace or clean fuel filter(s) as needed
Test fuel primer for proper function
Steering System
Smooth and reliable steering is essential for safety and control:
Test steering functionality
Inspect steering system for fluid leaks
Examine hoses for wear, bulging, or other abnormalities
Verify hose connections and integrity
Engine & Propulsion
Our technicians run and evaluate your engine(s) for optimal performance:
Check and top off engine oil level
Inspect for oil or water leaks
Start and run engine; assess performance
Record engine hours
Scan for diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
Inspect propeller for damage or fishing line entanglement
Safety Equipment
We ensure your safety gear is in compliance and ready in case of emergency:
Check life jackets for condition and accessibility
Verify fire extinguishers are present, charged, and within date
Inspect flares for expiration dates and damage
Lighting & Electronics
Full-function checks of onboard lighting and navigation electronics:
Test horn and navigation lights
Inspect compass light, arc lights, cockpit lights, spreader lights, console lights, and underwater lights
Confirm operation of GPS, depth finder, VHF radio, and AM/FM or other radio systems
Pumps & Water Systems
We ensure all water-related systems are functioning and free of leaks:
Test bilge pumps with battery switches OFF (auto function)
Check pump systems with battery switch ON
Inspect bilge pump switches (aft and forward)
Test livewell, saltwater washdown, and freshwater pumps
Electrical & Battery System

Load test all batteries for capacity and reliability
Inspect battery terminal covers and connections
Bilge Area & Hose Integrity
Hoses and clamps are your boat’s lifelines—we double-check them:
Inspect all bilge hoses and ensure double-clamp security where needed
Verify integrity of saltwater, livewell, and freshwater pump hoses
Check deck drain hoses and clamps

Full report and recommendations for course of action
Follow up appointment to be scheduled (based on membership tier it will be 30, 45, or 60 days later unless immediate course of action is necessary)
